Sushi Baked has been the talk of the town since the pandemic started and it has been all over the news feeds, admit it, you had craved for it one way or another. Who wouldn’t love this dish? It’s all in one. You have vinegared sushi rice as your base, layered with a mixture of some creamy Japanese mayo and sour cream, crab sticks, Tobiko, Furikake, fish roe. A deconstructed sushi has never been this exciting to eat.
We actually tried creating one but of course, we don’t have the luxury of creating this kind of dish all the time. Thankfully, there’s Salmon HQ – they make one of the best Baked Sushi I’ve tasted. Now I know who to contact if I’m craving good Baked Sushi.
They offer a lot of flavors and we’ve tried 4. You can have 2 flavors in one pan. We got Crunchy California (Small Php500) consists of some fresh ripe mango, crabsticks, creamy mayo, topped with tempura crunchies.
Unagi (Small Php900) has some unagi that has some smoky, savory flavor topped with roes. I love this and would probably my top favorite.
Aburi Scallops, Salmon, and Ebi (Small Php700) this one has some kick to it. The rice has some soy flavored to it having that savory taste. Still amazing to the palate.
Soft Shell Crab & Ebi (Small Php800) also has some premium kani kama, Japanese sushi rice, aonori (seaweeds), ebiko, topped with our homemade spicy sauce & wasabi dressing.
And then we have the Premium Salmon Cake. This is the first-ever Salmon Cake in the Metro. It has layers of rice, some creamy cubed salmon with cucumber inside the thinly sliced fresh Salmon. This is really good! I can’t remember how many times I said that while devouring this cake.
I will let the photo speak for itself. Isn’t that lovely?
You may add Seafood Wafu Pasta to a complete gastronomic delight.
