Known to be the first in Southeast Asia, La Mere Poulard offers French cuisine since 1888.

Founded by Annette Poulard, she was awarded as one of the finest female cook during her time. Now, in Manila, they sourced their ingredients locally, as they have locally inspired dishes and some international cuisines too.

Styled by a French designer, there’s more photos of events that happened during 1888 that were display on the walls. Lights and cozy sofas are set up for more casual feel.

There’s an ample space and an open kitchen that I got to enjoy as I was able to witness how they do their famous Omelettes.
Here’s what I got to try:
Smoked Salmon and Brioche – (420php)
Smokin’ good. The cream sauce added significant flavour to the already well marinated Salmon. The Brioche was soft and fluffy. Add the insigny to have more buttery taste.

Chicken and Cashew Nuts Linguini (400php)- The sauce was thick, creamy and cheesy. It sure coated the al dente pasta so well. Tender cuts of chicken and carrots added flavours to this dish. I wasn’t able to taste wine to it though.

La Mere Poulard is best known for their puffy Omelettes and Biscuits which I wasn’t able to try, so I’ll definitely be coming back soon for more.
They currently have a promo for Mother’s Day Weekend from May 11-13. Order their Annette Menu and get 15% off. Also, Mothers will get free scoop of Ice Cream.
